The Delphi programming language can be used for various
purposes both for mathematical calculations, office applications, multimedia
applications, manufacturing processing applications, industrial control applications
to database applications. In this material we will explain how to access the MS
Access database in Delphi using the ADO Component. Maybe you have or have often
developed database programs with Delphi or Visual Basic. You can use database
paradox, dbase or MS access, and maybe you experience problems in the
distribution of files that you build have a very large size because you have to
include the database file and its accessories. This is certainly not beneficial
especially if you have to distribute it via email. Here will be discussed about
database applications with the Delphi programming language. To access the
database in MS Access, starting Delphi 5 has provided an ADO component that
will make it easier to manage the database that we will build. With ADO the
Delphi distribution program only requires the exe file and its database (*
.mdb) only. Of course this is for a simple program. So you can distribute it
easily.
